Press Advertising

There’s quite an art to advertising. It’s not easy to combine graphics and words to deliver a specific message. Advertising is less about art and more about promoting products. A press ad needs to grab the reader’s attention, it needs to hold their interest by being relevant and providing details and appealing to their emotions.

A good press ad must tell the audience what to do. It will not be judged on its artistic merits but on its ability to generate business. Press advertising although having to be well designed and layed out is not a creative endeavour, it’s a commercial imperative. It needs to be held accountable, constantly tested and measured.
